1. Information We Collect

When you use SuperKoala, we collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account information (name, email address, password)
  • Baby care data (feeding logs, diaper changes, notes)
  • Messages sent through the chat interface
  • Images you upload (baby photos, family avatars)
  • Device tokens for push notifications
  • Purchase and subscription status information from Apple

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the SuperKoala service
  • Process and respond to your messages using AI
  • Send push notifications about reminders and family activity
  • Generate reports and insights about your baby's care
  • Share data with family members you invite to your family group

3. AI Processing and Consent

Before the app sends personal data to our AI provider, the iOS app asks for your permission. If you consent, the app may send the text you type, images you attach, and relevant baby-care context needed to answer your request or generate an AI report.

We currently use Anthropic Claude to process that information. We do not use your chat interactions for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Sharing

Your data is shared with family members within your family group. We use third-party services to operate SuperKoala:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) for AI chat responses and AI-generated reports
  • Cloudflare R2 for image storage
  • Apple Push Notification service for notifications
  • Apple App Store for subscriptions and purchase verification
  • Turso for database storage

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your conversation history at any time from the chat interface. You can also delete your account directly from the iOS app's Account screen. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

SuperKoala is designed for parents and caregivers to track baby care. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The baby care data you enter is associated with your adult account.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data

You can delete your account from within the app, or contact us at support@superkoala.app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email.
